Amino Acids are the 'building blocks'
of the system. Required for cell formation and tissue
repair. They play a disease resistance role in the formation
of antibodies, are part of the enzyme and hormonal system
and build nucleoproteins (DNA & RNA).
Some amino acids are known as essential and cannot be
manufactured by the body, the others being non-essential
and can only be formed through proper nutrition.
Protein is made up of amino acids, - any of a group
of organic nitrogenous compounds (nitrogen containing)
that form the component molecules of proteins.
